Britney Spears has officially been released from the restrictive conservatorship placed on her in 2008 by her dad, Jamie Spears.

Britney Spears’ long-running conservatorship has finally come to an end.

The star was officially released from the restrictive arrangement after a Los Angeles judge ruled on Friday (local time) that it was “untenable” and reflective of a “toxic environment.”

Spears celebrated the news on Instagram, saying it was the “best day ever” and expressing her love for fans behind the Free Britney movement.

“Good God I love my fans so much it’s crazy️! I think I’m gonna cry the rest of the day! Best day ever. Praise the Lord. Can I get an Amen?” she wrote.

She also updated the Free Britney hashtag with one that read, “#FreedBritney”.
