Britney Spears was on top of the world on Sunday when she learned that her 2016 album Glory had made a surprise reappearance on the iTunes albums charts.

The 38-year-old pop icon shared screenshots of the placement in her Instagram Stories, before recording a joyous video about the album's album's reappraisal.

Britney broke the news outside while dressed in a lacy white cropped blouse that showcased her taut tummy and her recent weight loss.

She paired the top with simple khaki shorts and let her blonde locks rest on her shoulders in thick strands.

'Hi guys, so I'll tell you I just figured out that Glory went to number one on the iTunes charts. I have no idea what happened,' she gushed in a breathless stream.

'Because of you I'm having the best day ever,' she added with a sweet smile.

Later, the album climbed further to number four.

'WOW!!!! I was not expecting to see this today .... you guys are amazing !!!!! I love this album and am happy to see you do too !!!!,' she wrote, adding multiple kiss emojis.

The news was even better on the iTunes pop album charts, where Britney was at number one, ahead of pop goddess Mariah Carey and albums from Madonna, Elton John, Ed Sheeran and Dua Lipa.
